Is MagicJackScam.net a Scam? Probably.

We just stumbled across a website called MagicJackScam.net.  The first thing that probably pops into your head is that this site is exposing all of the various problems with the Magic Jack service… most notably customer support and the notorious billing troubles.

If that if your initial impression of MagicJackScam.net, then you would be wrong.  We have no proof, but it strongly appears that this is a shill site set up either by Magic Jack themselves or a person simply looking to cash in through a Magic Jack affiliate program (if they even have one).  The annoying popup that appears every 15 seconds lends ammunition to this theory.

I just posted a comment on the front page that brings people over to a blog post where more than 600 people have voiced concerns with their Magic Jack service.  Let’s see if they actually allow that post to be published.

Just used 87562 someone else posted on this website. Bought 200 minutes which were doubled to 400 and got 60 bonus minutes.

I have had my magicjack for 2yrs and love it! I have had no issues with anything including customer service. How can you go wrong with only paying $1.70 a month for phone service. I agree magicjack rules!

I’ve also had majic Jack for two years. Just added the one that uses the router. No issues, no problems setting uup, paying or with service.

NOT TO TRY TO DO A ONE UPMANSHIP BUT I AM IN MY THIRD YEAR OF MAGIC JACK AND COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I FIGURE I HAVE SAVED AT LEAST 14-1500 DOLLARS OVER CONVENTIONAL PHONE SERVICE. GLAD TO HEAR THE POSITIVE RESPONSE ABOUT THE ROUTER
MAGIC JACK. IT WILL BE MY NEXT EXPERIMENT.

Definitely go for the magicjack plus. I replaced my silver magicjack with the black “plus” that plugs directly into the router 9 months ago and haven’t had a problem. The old one that plugged into the computer occasionally needs reboots, updates, fixes, etc. The black “plus” has worked every day since I got it. As long as you don’t need customer service, which can be brutal, its a steal for all the long distance you get!
